Dr. Rebecca Brugman

OSTEOPATH, Western medical acupuncturist & CLINICAL PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Qualifications
Rebecca (Beck) is an Australian trained Osteopath with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and Master of Health Science in Osteopathy. She has furthered her clinical skills with a certificate in comprehensive rehabilitation based clinical Pilates and a postgraduate certificate in Western Medical Acupuncture completed at the Auckland University of Technology.

Beck has over a decades experience working all over the world from the ski slopes of Whistler, treating footsore pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, to professional rugby and basketball players in Canberra. She has lectured on women's health osteopathy and rehabilitation at RMIT University and owned a successful multidisciplinary clinic that focussed on women’s health in Melbourne.

Look forward to a straightforward but empathetic approach to treatment if Beck is your practitioner. She actively listens whilst devising a plan for your improvement, then uses a combination of hands on Osteopathic treatment entwined with Western Medical acupuncture and Pilates. This approach addresses the whole body including the musculoskeletal, visceral (organs) and the emotional. Beck has found that utilising Pilates within a treatment as well as hands on is often the key factor in enabling a patient to own their recovery, which ultimately means they get better swiftly and enjoyably.

Beck has two lovely children, Lewis and Lily. This Winter you will find her enjoying a few days of adrenaline on the ski slopes as well as enjoying little kid friendly hikes and bike rides.
