Osteopathy

Osteopaths at One Body Wellness are skilled manual therapy practitioners and western medical acupuncturists in addition to being highly trained clinical Pilates instructors. This, combined with having our treatment rooms and movement space in close proximity, invites a unique opportunity to combine manual therapy and clinical pilates within an individual treatment to provide you more effective health outcomes.

Osteopaths are often considered more wholistic because they believe that the injury that you present with will have a myriad of predisposing factors that must be investigated and resolved to achieve long term pain relief and improvement in function.

Your Osteopath will undertake a skilled investigation that may include a postural, orthopaedic, visceral and neurological examination to determine a working diagnosis and to provide a comprehensive plan for your recovery.

Using a combination of a hands-on approach that incorporates a variety of techniques including soft tissue massage, stretching, manipulation and mobilisation of the ligaments and joints, visceral technique and western medical acupuncture, we aim to reduce your symptoms, decrease your pain and improve your biomechanics.

With the addition of clinical Pilates and/or a home exercise prescription alongside achievable lifestyle advice, we can help you achieve life changing results long term by correctly activating and then strengthening muscles, increasing joint mobility and creating an opportunity for your body to be at its very best.
